Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. Three (3) for Parish Project No. P960311 Ormond Road Raising to increase the contract amount by $145,000 and to increase the contract time by 250 days.
Body
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. Ordinance No. 99-6-19 adopted June 21, 1999 by the
St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract
with Hebert Brothers Engineers, Inc. for the construction of Ormond Road
Raising in the amount of $528,505.93.
SECTION II. That an Ordinance No. 99-11-4 adopted November 2, 1999
approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. One (1) for the
Ormond Road Raising Contract to increase the contract amount by $54,202.60
because of the unsuitable soil conditions.
SECTION III.That an Ordinance No. 00-1-3 adopted January 11, 2000
approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. Two (2) for the
Ormond Road Raising Contract to increase the contract amount by $9,942.97
and to increase the contract time by 73 calendar days for the relocation of the
drainage trunk line and required traffic signage.
SECTION IV.That it is necessary to amend the contract to reimburse the
Contractor for shutdown time and remobilization.
SECTION V. That it is necessary to increase the contract amount by $145,000
and the contract time by 250 calendar days.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE
ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve and authorize the execution
of Change Order No. Three (3) to the contract for the Ormond Road Raising Contract
and to increase the contract amount by $145,000 and the contract time by 250 calendar
days.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute this Change Order to the contract.
