TRIBUTE

District II, Councilman BRIAN A. FABRE is a lifelong resident of Luling.  He is married to Andrea Friloux and they are the proud parents of three children, two beautiful daughters, Brandie, 14 and Kaylie, 12 and one son, Cameron, 7.

 

Brian is completing his second term in Office.  He was first elected to the Parish Council in 1999 as the District II Councilman and was re-elected to a second term in 2003. Brian graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. 

 

Brian has focused on drainage and hurricane protection during his two terms in Office.  He is proud to have initiated and/or supported over $26 million in capital improvement projects that focused on drainage and hurricane protection during his tenure.  He is a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling.

 

Brian served as Council Vice-Chairman in 2005 and as Council Chairman in 2006.  He served as Ex-Officio on the Planning and Zoning Commission; since 2000, he has been the Ex-Officio of the Hospital Service District.  Brian served as Chairman of the Contract/Finance and Administrative Committee and the Special Committee for Waterworks Treatment Plant.  He served on the Special Projects/Public Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee, the Cable Television Franchise Review Committee, the Joint Airport Committee, and is a member of the Louisiana Police Jury Association, and the National Association of County Officials.  He has been a member of the River Region Caucus since 2001.

 

Brian is an active member of the St. Charles Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, and the USL Alumni Association.  He has served for five years as Chairman of the West St. Charles Chapter of Ducks Unlimited receiving the DU Outstanding Achievement Award and is past president of the New Orleans Chapter of the USL Rajun Cajun Club.
