Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. Two (2) - final for Parish Project No. P020704 Bayou Trepagnier Pump Station to increase the contract amount by $36,238.81 to balance contractual quantities with actual job quantities.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 03-9-9 adopted September 8, 2003 by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with D&O Contractors, Inc., for the construction of Bayou Trepagnier Pump Station in the amount of $7,892,025.00; and,
WHEREAS, the US Army Corps of Engineers required changes to the project to ensure compliance with regulations for approval of credit under Section 104 of the Water Resources Development Act of 1986; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 04-4-9 was approved April 5, 2004 by the St. Charles Parish Council, which approved and authorized Change Order No. One (1) increasing the original contract amount by $421,294.00 and increasing the original contract time by 23 calendar days to allow for the implementation of these changes; and,
WHEREAS, the project was completed by D&O Contractors, Inc. for $1,380.19 under the contract price; and,
WHEREAS, the removal of the two existing old Norco pump stations was required to ensure adequate flow to the Bayou Trepagnier Pump Station at an additional cost of $37,619.00; and,
WHEREAS, D&O Contractors, Inc. completed the demolition of the two pump stations for $36,238.81 as part of this project.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. Two (2) to the contract for the Bayou Trepagnier Pump Station to increase the original contract amount by $36,238.81 is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order.
