Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract for Engineering Services with Principal Engineering, Inc. for necessary professional engineering services associated with Parish Project No. P090404 Engineer's Canal Pump Station Bar Screen Cleaners.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council desires to have the following described projects undertaken:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Engineering Services for Parish Project No. P090404 Engineer's Canal Pump Station Bar Screen Cleaners project. The service will include but will not be limited to serving as Owner's professional engineering representative for the Project, providing professional engineering consultation and advice, and furnishing customary civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering services and construction engineering and inspection; and,
WHEREAS, the opinion of probable project budget is as follows:
Engineering Services $ 251,224.00
Construction $ 1,880,000.00
Other Project Cost $ 57,152.00
Advertising, Recordation, etc.
Land Acquisition, Right-of-Ways
Permits, Surveying
Soil Testing, Project Inspection
TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET $ 2,188,376.00
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the attached contract for Engineering Services between Principal Engineering, Inc. and the Parish of St. Charles is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
SECTION III.
A. That $50,000 of the total project budget be allocated to the above described project and appropriated from the Roads and Drainage (112) Fund.
B. That $ 2,138,376.00 in Project funding is contingent upon receiving a FEMA Grant.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
