IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department has long held a prominent place in the State of Louisiana and the United States as an outstanding Parish and Recreation Program; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish 9-Year Old Boys All-Stars have excelled in the 2009 All-Star Baseball Season; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles 9-Year Old Boys All-Stars participated in the USSSA State Tournament finishing third out of 28 teams; and,
WHEREAS, on July 17, 2009, the St. Charles 9-Year Old Boys All-Stars finished Runners-up in the Cal Ripken State Tournament in Abbeville, Louisiana, securing an invitation to participate in the Southwest Regional Championship Tournament on July 30, 2009, representing Louisiana out of a six state region, where they finished as Runners-up, losing to Gulfport, Mississippi; and,
WHEREAS, members of the Parish Council and the Parish President wish to recognize the outstanding performance of members of the 2009 St. Charles 9-Year Old Boys All-Stars and their Coaches.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY RECOGNIZE
