Title
An ordinance to accept the proposal of Surveys Unlimited Research Associates, Inc. to perform Archeological work associated with the permitting of the Lake Salvador Shoreline Protection Phase III Project, the cost not to exceed $67,278.15.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish has received $289,211 from the United States Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA); and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, for administration and construction of the Lake Salvador Shoreline Phase III Project; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish, acting as the permitting agent for the Lake Salvador Shoreline Phase III Project, has advertised for an archeological contractor, necessary to complete an Archeological Phase II investigation of the project area because of know Native American resources in the area.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. The St. Charles Parish Council approves and authorizes the Parish President to accept the proposal of Surveys Unlimited Research Associates, Inc. to perform Archeological work associated with the permitting of the Lake Salvador Shoreline Protection Phase III Project, the cost not to exceed $67,278.15.

The forgoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ________ day of _________________, 2002, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the official journal.
