IN   RECOGNITION
WHEREAS,      Chelsea Lee Troxler is a resident of Luling, Louisiana in St. Charles Parish.  Her parents are Lee and Charlotte Troxler and her siblings are Hayley and Colin; and,
WHEREAS,      Chelsea is a 2007 graduate of Hahnville High School and is currently a Sophomore at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette majoring in Accounting with a 3.6 GPA; and,
WHEREAS,      Chelsea was part of the Honors Program at Hahnville High School, State Science Fair Winner in the Physics Division, three years in Who's Who among American High School Students, All American Dance Team Member and Cheerleader, National Model and Dancer of the year for the past five years, and 2004 Teen Miss Dance of Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS,      Chelsea was the 2004 St. Charles Parish Festival Teen Queen, 2005 St. John the Baptist Family Festival Teen Queen, and 2007 Miss Louisiana Gumbo Festival of Chackbay; and,
WHEREAS,      Chelsea was the St. Charles Parish Relay for Life Master of Ceremonies and a participant in many other Parishes; she is a volunteer dance teacher, participates in the Lion's Club Thanksgiving Day food drive, and adopt a family for Christmas Program; and,
WHEREAS,      Chelsea's future plan is to obtain an accounting degree and CPA license.  Her ultimate goal would be to be hired at a large accounting firm as a Forensic Accountant; and,
WHEREAS,      on August 2, 2008, Chelsea was crowned Miss Queen at the 50th Annual St. Charles Parish Festival held at Destrehan High School; and,
WHEREAS,      Chelsea states, "To represent the people of St. Charles Parish in the State Sugar Pageant would be an amazing experience.  Born and raised in this Parish, I am a St. Charles Parish girl through and through"; and,
WHEREAS,      Chelsea describes herself as being playful, sympathetic, and lovable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
CHELSEA LEE TROXLER
MISS ST. CHARLES PARISH FESTIVAL QUEEN L
