IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Danielle Douglas is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Killona, Louisiana. She is the daughter of Trina and Daniel Douglas, the sister of Daniel Douglas, III, and the grand-daughter of Jacqueline S. Brown and Bedous Douglas Samuel of Bakersfield, California; and,
WHEREAS, Danielle is a sophomore at Hahnville High School and is a member of the Track and Field Team; and,
WHEREAS, as a freshman, Danielle competed at the State Track Meet in three events: the 400-meter dash, placing second; the 800-meter run, placing first; and the 1600-meter relay, she ran the fourth leg helping the team place first. That same year she was named the Regional Track MVP; and,
WHEREAS, this year as a sophomore, at the Regional Track Meet, Danielle won second place in the 800-meter run, first place in the 400-meter dash, and ran the fourth leg in the 1600-meter relay. The relay team won second place; and,
WHEREAS, for two consecutive years, Danielle has competed at the State Track Meet in three events: the 400-meter dash, the 800-meter run, and the 1600-meter relay; and,
WHEREAS, at the State Track Meet, Danielle placed sixth in the 800-meter run, and she ran the fourth leg on the 1600-meter relay. The relay team was the State Runners-Up; and,
WHEREAS, Danielle is the Class 5A State Champion in the 400-meter dash.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
