Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Engineering Services Contract with Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc. for the design of Parish Project No. P011002, Bar None East Subsurface, Phase II.
Body
WHEREAS,      subsurface drainage improvements are required on Chuckwagon and Bridlepath Lanes from Palamino Drive eastward to the dead end due to improperly sized culverts and inadequate catch basin spacing; and,
WHEREAS,      this project design will implement all the necessary changes along the eastern portions of Bridlepath and Chuckwagon Lanes to improve stormwater flows to the eastern drainage ditch of Bar None Ranch Estates; and,
WHEREAS,      the QBS Selection Board met on February 26, 2003 and recommended award of Parish Project No. P011002, Bar None East Subsurface, Phase II to Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc. (See Attachment A); and,
WHEREAS,      the Probable Project Budget for this contract is as follows:
      Construction                        $      150,100
      Basic Engineering                                 35,500
      Soils Investigation                                1,500
      Surveying                                  3,000
      Resident Inspection                       19,000
      Testing/Other                               6,500
      Total Probable Project Budget      $      215,600
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
      SECTION I.      That the Engineering Services Contract with Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc. for the design of Parish Project No. P011002, Bar None East Subsurface, Phase II be hereby accepted.
      SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached Engineering Services Contract.
