RESOLUTION NO.
Title
A resolution authorizing St. Charles Parish to seek funding from the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality for the purpose of the rehabilitation of the sanitary sewer collection and pumping stations.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish of St. Charles is in need of rehabilitating their gravity sewer and wastewater pumping stations; and,
WHEREAS, loans and/or grants for this project may be available through the State Revolving Fund loan program operated by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality; and,
WHEREAS, the Federal Stimulus Package will soon be available for wastewater projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, that:
SECTION I. The Parish of St. Charles would like to be considered for the Federal Stimulus Funds in the form of grants/loans; and,
SECTION II. The Parish President is hereby authorized to submit a pre-application to the Department of Environmental Quality on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles for the purpose of placing this project on the Project Priority List for funding through the State Revolving Fund loan program; and,
SECTION III. The Parish President is further authorized to furnish such additional information as may be reasonably requested in connection with the pre-application; and,
SECTION IV. The Parish President is hereby designated as the Official Project Representative for the Parish of St. Charles for any project that may result from the submission of the pre-application.

The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
