A resolution to request that the Administration begin the selection process for an Architect/Engineer for a proposed Civic Center/Fairgrounds Project.

WHEREAS, House Bill No. 2 enacted by the Louisiana State Legislature in its 2000 Regular Session provides funding payable from General Obligation Bonds in the amount of $500,000.00 in Priority 2 and $6,117,000.00 in Priority 5; and,
WHEREAS, in order to proceed with the Planning and Construction, Land Acquisition, as funding becomes available, it is necessary to employ an Architectural/Engineering Firm, through the Qualification Based Selection Review Panel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby request that the Administration proceed through the Qualification Based Selection Review Panel to select an Architect/Engineer for this project; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said selection shall be forwarded to the Parish Council for approval of the Contract.
