Title
A resolution offering full support in requesting the Pontchartrain Levee Board to video all meetings and forward a copy to all Parishes covered under the Levee District; Ascension, Iberville, St. Charles, St. James, and St. John the Baptist, for broadcast over their individual Parish channels.
Body
WHEREAS, conditions and readiness of our local levee system in this post Katrina environment has become a major concern of the citizens; and,
WHEREAS, broadcasting these meetings will give the public a better insight on the operations and functions of the Pontchartrain Levee District; and,
WHEREAS, broadcasting of these meetings will give the public solace that the Pontchartrain Levee Board is fully aware of the responsibilities and requirements expected of them in the protection of the citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, offer full support in requesting the Pontchartrain Levee Board video all meetings and forward a copy to all Parishes covered under the Levee District; Ascension, Iberville, St. Charles, St. James, and St. John the Baptist, for broadcast over their individual Parish channels.
