Title

An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, to change the zoning classification from M-1 to R-1B and C-2 on 130,697 sq. ft., Lot J-2A, Plantation Business Campus, corner of River Road and Campus Drive East, Destrehan, as requested by Helm Developments, LLC.

Body

WHEREAS,                     the property owner requests rezoning from M-1 to R-1B and C-2 on 130,697 sq. ft., Lot J-2A, Plantation Business Campus, corner of River Road and Campus Drive East, Destrehan, as requested by Helm Developments, LLC; and,

WHEREAS,                     the Planning and Zoning Department recommended denial of the request; and,

WHEREAS,                     the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended denial of the request at its regular meeting of October 14, 2021.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

                     SECTION I.                     The Zoning Ordinance of 1981 is amended to change the zoning classification from M-1 to R-1B and C-2 on 130,697 sq. ft., Lot J-2A, Plantation Business Campus, corner of River Road and Campus Drive East, Destrehan, as requested by Helm Developments, LLC.

SECTION II.                     The Department of Planning and Zoning is authorized to amend the Official Zoning Map, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana to reflect this reclassification from M-1 to R-1B and C-2 on 130,697 sq. ft., Lot J-2A, Plantation Business Campus, corner of River Road and Campus Drive East, Destrehan, as requested by Helm Developments, LLC.

                     The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:

                     And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ___________, 2021 to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
