Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Engineering Services Contract with Barowka & Bonura Engineers & Consultants, LLC for the design of Parish Project No. P021006, Primrose Box Culverts.
Body
WHEREAS, During recent storm events, a significant difference in water surface elevation was noted upstream of various culverts within Primrose/Ellington Canal; and,
WHEREAS, this project design will specify box culverts, or a viable alternative, to improve the hydraulic conditions within Primrose/Ellington Canal; and,
WHEREAS, the QBS Selection Board met on February 26, 2003 and recommended award of Parish Project No. P021006, Primrose Box Culverts to Barowka & Bonura Engineers & Consultants, LLC (See Attachment A); and,
WHEREAS, the Probable Project Budget for this contract is as follows:
Construction $ 246,000
Basic Engineering 20,000
Soils Investigation 2,500
Surveying 5,000
Resident Inspection 30,000
Testing/Other 10,000
Total Probable Project Budget $ 313,500
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract with Barowka & Bonura Engineers & Consultants, LLC for the design of Parish Project No. P021006, Primrose Box Culverts be hereby accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached Engineering Services Contract.
