Title

A resolution endorsing a waiver from Appendix C, Subdivision Regulations of 1981, Section III. Geometric Standards, C. Lots, 1. Size and a. Corner Lot as requested by Evelyn Labat Schouest.

Body

WHEREAS,                     the St. Charles Parish Subdivision Ordinance of 1981 requires that the Parish Council endorse waivers from Subdivision Regulations; and,

WHEREAS,                     the Subdivision Regulations require that the area for lots conform to the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance and that corner lots shall have extra width to permit setback lines on the side of the lots adjacent to a side street; and,

WHEREAS,                      the subdivider has requested a waiver from the Size and Corner lot requirements for Lot 39-A as shown on a survey by Janssen M. Robichaux, PLS dated September 20, 2022; and,

WHEREAS,                      granting the waiver will allow Lot 39-A to have substandard lot area and width on Highway 90; and,

WHEREAS,                     the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the resubdivision with the required waivers at their September 1, 2022 meeting.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, hereby provides this supporting authorization to endorse a waiver from the Size and Corner lot requirements to allow Lot 39-A as shown on a survey by Janssen M. Robichaux, PLS dated September 20, 2022, as requested by Evelyn Labat Schouest.

The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
