In Recognition: Justin Floyd Ward, Eagle Scout

IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Justin Floyd Ward is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with his parents Paul and Caroline and his brother Daniel; and,
WHEREAS, Justin was a Junior Assistant Scout Master and Member of Troop 371, chartered by the United Methodist Church in Luling; he started his Scouting career in September 2001; and,
WHEREAS, Justin has spent the last six years as an active member of the Scouts spending this time preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS, Justin has earned his 21 required merit badges and two elective badges from a list of 132 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by reworking and expanding the existing landscaping at the Bible Center Church in Luling, using the existing landscape design by replacing existing plants and adding additional foliage, as well as, reviewing the entire landscape drainage system; and,
WHEREAS, Justin earned these 23 required badges by showing leadership ability as Assistant Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, and Junior Assistant Scout Master; and,
WHEREAS, Justin rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on December 16, 2006 and received his medal in a ceremony on February 24, 2007 at the Bible Center Church in Luling; and,
WHEREAS, Justin is a Junior and is home schooled by his mother Caroline, using the Abeka Program from Pensacola, Florida and will continue to grow as an EAGLE SCOUT by providing leadership as an Assistant Scout Master for Troop 371.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
JUSTIN FLOYD WARD
