Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Wetland Mitigation Contract by and between Enterprise Woodlands, LLC, and St. Charles Parish in the amount of $40,000.00 for wetlands mitigation for the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee, Phase II - Willowridge.
Body
WHEREAS,      St. Charles Parish has undertaken the construction of the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee, Phase II - Willowridge for providing comprehensive flood protection to protect the lives and property of the citizens of the West Bank of St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS,      in order to fulfill the wetlands permitting requirements it is necessary to purchase .5 acres of Cypress/Tupelo Gum swamp credits at the Bayou Enterprise Woodlands Mitigation Bank located in Lafourche Parish in the amount of $40,000.00; and,
WHEREAS,      it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said Contract to comply with the requirements of revisions to U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Permit No. MVN-2004-02101-ETT and Louisiana Department of Natural Resources Coastal Use Permit Application Number P20091182 [modified].
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.      That the Wetland Mitigation Contract by and between Enterprise Woodlands, LLC, and St. Charles Parish in the amount of $40,000.00 is hereby approved.
SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
