Title
A resolution authorizing the Parish President to seek a $6,500,000 loan from the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality State Revolving Loan Program for the rehabilitation of the Destrehan and Hahnville Wastewater Treatment Plants, the upgrade of pumping stations and force mains in the Luling/Boutte area, and other miscellaneous sanitary sewer work.
Body
WHEREAS, the Destrehan and Hahnville Wastewater Treatment Plants have serious hydrogen sulfide damage to their influent pump stations and headworks; and,
WHEREAS, several pump stations in the Luling/Boutte area require upgrades. Presently, these pumping stations have only one pump in each station; and,
WHEREAS, force mains are required for the upgrade of the Luling/Boutte Pump Stations to accommodate the additional wastewater flow rate; and,
WHEREAS, LDEQ/SRF Program has approved a $6,500,000 loan at 0.95% interest rate for a 20 year period for the Parish of St. Charles, Louisiana.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, hereby authorize the Parish President on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles to (1) secure a $6,500,000 loan from LDEQ/SRF Program for sanitary sewer upgrades, and (2) authorize the Parish President to sign all appropriate documents for this loan.
