Title
An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, to change the zoning classification from R-1A and R-1A(M) to C-3 on property designated as Tract B of Tract 53, Coteau De France, 16825 Highway 90, Des Allemands as requested by William Sigmon for Sigmon Rental Properties, LLC.

WHEREAS, William Sigmon for Sigmon Rental Properties, LLC requests a rezoning from R-1A and R-1A(M) to C-3 on property designated as Tract B of Tract 53, Coteau De France, 16825 Highway 90, Des Allemands, as shown on the survey by Charles L. McDonald, PLS, dated May 1, 2023; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Department recommended approval of the request; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the request at its regular meeting on August 6, 2026.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. The Zoning Ordinance of 1981 is amended to change the zoning classification from R-1A and R-1A(M) to C-3 on property designated as Tract B of Tract 53, Coteau De France, 16825 Highway 90, Des Allemands, as shown on the survey by Charles L. McDonald, PLS, dated May 1, 2023, as requested by William Sigmon for Sigmon Rental Properties, LLC.
SECTION II. The Department of Planning and Zoning is authorized to amend the Official Zoning Map, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana to reflect this reclassification from R-1A and R-1A(M) to C-3 on property designated as Tract B of Tract 53, Coteau De France, 16825 Highway 90, Des Allemands, as shown on the survey by Charles L. McDonald, PLS, dated May 1, 2023, as requested by William Sigmon for Sigmon Rental Properties, LLC.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ___________, 2026, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
