Title
A resolution to adjust the per diem paid to Planning & Zoning Commission Members for attending meetings, not to exceed twelve per year.
Body
WHEREAS, in 2007 the St. Charles Parish Council adjusted the per diem paid to members of Boards and Commissions for attending meetings from forty dollars ($40.00) per meeting to sixty dollars ($60.00) per meeting; and,
WHEREAS, in order to adjust the per diem of the Planning & Zoning Commission Members it was necessary that the Louisiana State Legislature authorize said adjustment; and,
WHEREAS, on April 16, 2007, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Resolution No. 5431 requesting that the Louisiana State Legislature authorize said adjustment; and,
WHEREAS, Act No. 105 of the 2008 Regular Session of the Louisiana State Legislature authorized said adjustment.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby adjust the per diem paid to St. Charles Parish Planning & Zoning Commission Members for attending meetings from forty dollars ($40.00) per meeting attended to sixty dollars ($60.00) per meeting attended, not to exceed a maximum of twelve meetings per year, effective September 1, 2008.
