P R O C L A M A T I O N

WHEREAS,                     the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® was established in 1915 and is celebrating its 105^th anniversary this year; and,

WHEREAS,                     the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® consists of over 5,000 members in ten parishes, including St. Charles Parish; and,

WHEREAS,                     the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® serves to unite those engaged in the recognized branches of the real estate profession for the purpose of exerting a beneficial influence upon the profession and related interests; and,

WHEREAS,                     REALTORS® subscribe to a strict code of ethics and are expected to maintain a higher level of knowledge of the process of buying and selling real estate; and,

WHEREAS,                     we recognize the dedication local REALTORS® have to the New Orleans metropolitan area and the contributions they have made to that area, including St. Charles Parish; and,

WHEREAS,                     the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® is holding its 8^th Annual “REALTOR® Appreciation Day” on Monday, March 9, 2020, at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; and,

WHEREAS,                     the event honors the Greater New Orleans REALTORS® and serves to celebrate the commitment they have to helping people fulfill their dream of homeownership and protecting private property rights.

NOW, THEREFORE, WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM, MONDAY, MARCH 9, 2020, AS

“REALTOR® APPRECIATION DAY”
