Title
An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, to change the zoning classification from O-L and C-3 to M-1 on portions of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, John Lambert Tract as requested by Renton Properties, LLC.
Body
WHEREAS, the applicant requests rezoning the property from O-L and C-3 to M-1; and,
WHEREAS, the St Charles Parish Department of Planning and Zoning recommended Approval of the request; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Planning and Zoning Commission recommended Approval of the request at its regular meeting of May 2, 2019; and,
WHEREAS, the area to be rezoned exceeds 3 acres and therefore requires a change to the Future Land Use Map.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. St. Charles Parish hereby approves an ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance of 1981, to change the zoning classification from O-L and C-3 to M-1 on portions of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, John Lambert Tract as requested by Renton Properties, LLC.
SECTION II. That the St. Charles Parish Department of Planning and Zoning is authorized to amend the Official Zoning Map, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana to reflect this reclassification from O-L and C-3 to M-1 on portions of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, John Lambert Tract as requested by Renton Properties, LLC.
SECTION III. To authorize the Department of Planning and Zoning to make the corresponding change from Moderate Density Residential and Commercial to Light Industrial on the Future Land Use Map, adopted with Ordinance No. 11-6-11, amended by Ordinance No. 16-9-16.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
