Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Agreement between Wallace Roberts & Todd, LLC (WRT) and St. Charles Parish to prepare a Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
Body
WHEREAS, The Parish's existing Comprehensive Land Use Plan completed in 1990, (adopted under ordinance #90-8-2), has not been subsequently updated; and,
WHEREAS, The Parish President and Council wish to develop a modern Comprehensive Land Use Plan; and,
WHEREAS, A consultant selection process was completed that included a Request for Proposals, Request for Qualifications and consultant interviews; and,
WHEREAS, A citizen Selection Committee was established to review the proposals, interview the finalist teams, perform a final evaluation and make a recommendation to the Parish Council on a preferred team; and,
WHEREAS, The Selection Committee chose WRT, LLC as the preferred consultant team; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish agrees to contract with WRT, LLC to develop a Comprehensive Land Use Plan for the Parish as defined by the Agreement and Exhibit A, Scope of Services and Exhibit B, Budget.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Agreement between WRT, LLC and St. Charles Parish for the St. Charles Parish Comprehensive Plan in the amount of $298,313.00is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement and to act on behalf of St. Charles Parish in all matters pertaining to this project.

And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2009, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
