Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Engineering Services Contract with Hartman Engineering, Inc. for the design of Parish Project No. P030611, Willowdale Pump Station Canal Bank Stabilization, Phase I.
Body
WHEREAS, the existing canal improvements are required along the canal from the newly constructed Willowdale Pump Station, and proceeding westward approximately 600 linear feet; and,
WHEREAS, this project design will implement the necessary improvements along the pump station canal to stabilize the existing canal banks and to provide erosion control during severe rainfall events; and,
WHEREAS, the QBS Selection Board met on March 3, 2004 and recommended award of Parish Project No. P030611, Willowdale Pump Station Canal Bank Stabilization, Phase I to Hartman Engineering, Inc. (See Attachment A); and,
WHEREAS, the Probable Project Budget for this contract is as follows:
Construction $ 448,800
Basic Engineering 32,250
Soils Investigation 5,000
Surveying 9,900
Resident Inspection 53,800
Testing/Other 17,750
Total Probable Project Budget $ 567,500
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract with Hartman Engineering, Inc. for the design of Parish Project No. P030611, Willowdale Pump Station Canal Bank Stabilization, Phase I be hereby accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached Engineering Services Contract.
