Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract for Engineering Services with N-Y Associates, Inc. for necessary professional engineering services associated with Parish Project No. S181201 Lone Star Sewer Rehabilitation.
Body
WHEREAS, the wastewater system of Lone Star Subdivision, is aged and contains deficiencies allowing the inflow and infiltration of non-wastewater into the wastewater system; and;
WHEREAS, this additional inflow and infiltration, places and additional burden upon our wastewater treatment facilities by having to treat otherwise uncontaminated water; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish has obtained a Louisiana Community Development Block Grant for $399,285 to repair and rehabilitate the wastewater system within the Lone Star Subdivision; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6376 declared October 1, 2018, authorized the Parish President to apply for the grant and lists N-Y Associates, Inc. as the project engineer providing assistance with the grant application; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish desires to continue the use of N-Y Associates, Inc. to complete the plans and specification required to proceed with the project.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract with N-Y Associates, Inc. for the design of Parish Project S181201 Lone Star Sewer Rehabilitation be hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Engineering Services Contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2020, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
