Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No P210302, Asphalt Pavement Maintenance - Task Order 1, to increase the contract amount by $536,799.31.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 21-5-12 adopted May 17, 2021, by the St. Charles Parish Council approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Barriere Construction Co., LLC for the Maintenance Contract of Parish Project No. P210302 Asphalt Pavement Maintenance, with Bid in the amount of $2,563,450.00; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 21-8-7 adopted August 9, 2021, by the St. Charles Parish Council approved and authorized the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Alpha Testing and Inspection, Inc. for the testing of Parish Project No. P210302 Asphalt Pavement Maintenance; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the contract to include costs for additional paving and Hurricane Ida road repair by increasing the contract amount by $536,799.31.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No. P210302, Asphalt Pavement Maintenance - Task Order 1, to increase the contract amount by $536,799.31 is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order 1 on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of __________, 2022, to become effective five (5) days after this publication in the official journal.
