IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department has long held a prominent place in the State of Louisiana and the United States as an outstanding Parish and Recreation Program; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Girls Babe Ruth 12U All-Stars have excelled in the 2004 All-Star Softball Season; and,
WHEREAS, on July 6, 2004, the St. Charles Parish Girls Babe Ruth 12U All-Star Team finished in second place in the Babe Ruth State Tournament in St. Francisville, Louisiana, this allowed for advancement to the Southwest Regional Tournament; and,
WHEREAS, on July 18, 2004, the St. Charles Parish Girls Babe Ruth 12U All-Star Team finished in first place in the Babe Ruth Southwest Regional Tournament in Beebe, Arkansas, this allowed for advancement and participation in the Babe Ruth World Series in Mattoon, Illinois on August 7-14, 2004; this is the first time a Girls All-Star Team from St. Charles Parish Parks & Recreation Department has been to a World Series; and,
WHEREAS, members of the Parish Council and the Parish President wish to recognize the outstanding performance of members of the 2004 St. Charles Parish Girls Babe Ruth 12U All-Stars and their coaches.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY RECOGNIZE
