Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of Change Order No. Two for the 1999 Road Maintenance Program to decrease the contract amount by $67,095.06 and to increase the contract time by 21 calendar days.
Body
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Ordinance No. 99-6-20 adopted June 21, 1999, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Barriere Construction, Company, L.L.C. for the construction of the 1999 Road Maintenance Program in the amount of $750,834.72, and,
SECTION II. That Ordinance No. 99-12-10 adopted December 6, 1999, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. One (1) to increase the contract amount by $164,798.00; and,
SECTION III.That it is necessary to decrease the contract amount by $67,095.06 and to increase the contract time by 21 calendar days to replace broken pipe and catch basin on Boutte Estates Drive and to balance quantities at the end of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve and authorize the execution of Change Order No. Two (2) to the contract for the 1999 Road Maintenance Program to decrease the contact amount by $67,095.06 and to increase the contract time by 21 calendar days; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute this Change Order to the contract.
