Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of Amendment No. 2 to the Contract for Engineering Services with Environmental Engineering Services (EES), Inc. for necessary professional engineering services associated with Parish Project No. S080503 High Priority Sewer Lift Station Upgrades.
Body
WHEREAS, On October 20, 2008 the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 08-10-10 authorizing the execution of a Contract for Engineering Services with Environmental Engineering Services (EES), Inc. for Parish Project No. S080503 High Priority Sewer Lift Station Upgrades; and,
WHEREAS, On November 2, 2009 the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 09-11-3, approving Amendment No. 1 to the contract to revise the list of lift stations associated with this project; and,
WHEREAS, Recent events and communications with Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) and Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (LDHH) has caused the Department of Wastewater to re-evaluate the list of lift stations listed in the contract; and,
WHEREAS, It is necessary to amend the contract and add certain lift stations and force main projects to ensure proper adherence to LDEQ and LDHH requirements.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Amendment No. 2 to the contract for Engineering Services between Environmental Engineering Services (EES), Inc. and the Parish of St. Charles is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Amendment No. 2 on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
