Title
A resolution to rescind Resolution No. 4928 approving a Memorandum of Understanding between Ascension, St. Charles, St. James and St. John the Baptist Parishes.
Body
WHEREAS, that on July 2, 2001 Resolution No. 4928 was passed by this Council approving the Memorandum of Understanding between Ascension, St. Charles, St. James and St. John the Baptist, for the purpose of rendering equipment, materials, and manpower to each of these entities in time of emergency and disasters, or as may be requested under a Parish President declaration in writing, duly signed and dated; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish of Ascension under legal advice can not enter into this formal agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish Presidents along with Council Members discussed this Agreement and finding it in the best interest of the people of St. Charles Parish that Resolution No. 4928 be rescinded.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL DO HEREBY RESCIND RESOLUTION NO. 4928.
