Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between The Pontchartrain Levee District and St. Charles Parish for the maintenance and upkeep of certain structures in the East Bank Hurricane Protection Levee.
Body
WHEREAS, certain structures are being constructed in the East Bank Hurricane Protection Levee, including Drainage Structures, Flood Gate Structures and Sheet Pile Flood Walls; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Pontchartrain Levee District to turn over the maintenance and upkeep of these Structures to St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, an Agreement has been prepared to set out said Responsibilities and it is the desire the Parish Council to approve said Agreement.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the Pontchartrain Levee District and St. Charles Parish is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
