IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Brian P. Rodrigue, Jr. is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Destrehan, Louisiana with his parents Kathy and Brian Rodrigue, Sr. and his brother Casey and sister Katelyn; and,
WHEREAS, Brian has excelled in academics with a 4.592 GPA and is the Brother Martin High School Valedictorian for the graduating class of 2004; and,
WHEREAS, Brian received the Lambert Award as Outstanding Graduate of the Class of 2004, the Knight's of Columbus Patriotism Award, Science Award, and was one of 12 named as a Golden Crusader which emphasizes the true meaning of Brother Martin; and,
WHEREAS, Brian's additional activities and accomplishments include the following: pitcher and third baseman on the Varsity Baseball Team, named to the LHSAA Class 5A and Composite Academic All-State Baseball Teams, recipient of the Golden Glove Defensive Award and the Captain's Award for Baseball from Brother Martin High School, was on the Executive Board for Student Ministries for Brother Martin, Eucharist Minister for School and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Member of the Mu-Alpha Theta Math Club, the Excalibur National Honor Science Society, one of two Brother Martin Representatives to the Southern (United States) Association of Colleges and Schools as well as a Student Ambassador and Recruiter for Brother Martin; and,
WHEREAS, Brian has received the Dean Scholarship from St. Louis University in St. Louis and will attend this fall studying Aero Space Engineering; and,
WHEREAS, Brian in his spare time works for his father at Duff Water Proofing in addition to holding baseball clinics in Metairie and tutoring.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
