Title
A resolution to assign to the Special Projects/Public Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee the St. Charles Parish Administrative Complex Program.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish is one of the fastest growing Parishes in the State of Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, the need for additional space for government offices has been carefully studied and determined necessary; and,
WHEREAS, Parish Government facilities are presently unable to appropriately accommodate offices of the Sheriff, Clerk of Court, District Judges, District Attorney, Parish Council, Parish President, and other Government Agencies; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish presently rents and leases many facilities in its efforts to serve the citizens of St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, in order to serve the citizens of St. Charles Parish in an efficient and effective manner, it is necessary to immediately review plans of the St. Charles Parish Administrative Complex Program presented by Chenevert-Songy-Rodi-Soderberg, per Ordinance No. 97-7-14 and proceed with implementation of this Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby assign to the Special Projects/Public Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee the St. Charles Parish Administrative Complex Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, request that the Parish President assign three (3) members of the Administration to work with the Special Projects/Public Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee on this Program.

And the resolution was declared adopted this day of , 2000, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
