Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a professional service multi-phase project contract with Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc., for providing all necessary professional engineering services for an approximately 4,100-foot sheet pile wall along the southeastern-side of Engineer’s Canal. (Engineer’s Canal Bank Stabilization Parish Project Number P190301).
Body
WHEREAS, Engineer’s Canal is an existing watercourse that conveys water to the Engineer’s Canal Pump Station in Norco; and,
WHEREAS, the southeastern-side of Engineer’s Canal requires bank stabilization, and
WHEREAS, the attached contract between the Parish and Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates describes the proposed engineering services and compensation for this bank stabilization project; and,
WHEREAS, the following work phases will be authorized by individual task orders as required for the continuation of the capital improvement project
Phase 1: Topographic Survey
Phase 2: Geotechnical Services
Phase 3: Preliminary Engineering Design
Phase 4: Final Engineering Design
Phase 5: Permitting Services
Phase 6: Bidding Phase Services
Phase 7: Construction Phase Services
Phase 8: Resident Project Representative Services.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Professional Services Contract between Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates and St. Charles Parish for services as required and assigned via Task Order by the Department Of Public Works is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Professional Services Contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2019, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
