Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a contract with Del-Con, LLC, for the St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation IMTT Redesign project in the amount of $223,940.00.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish entered into an Administrative contract on July 22, 2021 with Murray Architects, Inc. for professional engineering services for IMTT Park upgrades for a fee of $19,996.00; and,
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on March 24, 2022, for the St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation IMTT Redesign project; and,
WHEREAS, Murray Architects, Inc. has reviewed the bids and recommends that the contract be awarded to Del-Con, LLC, in the amount of $223,940.00; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish plans to improve the overall experience for our residents when they visit and utilize the IMTT Park in St. Rose; and,
WHEREAS, these upgrades will encourage and enable our residents to partake in outdoor exercise to improve and promote a healthy lifestyle; and,
WHEREAS, these improvements will include the beautification of the existing IMTT Park with the relocation of existing batting cages, fence line, parking/pavement improvements, and a pavilion; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve and authorize this contract.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Del-Con, LLC for the construction of the St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation IMTT Redesign project is hereby approved and accepted in the amount of $223,940.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
SECTION III. A final notice of Contract shall be printed and filed in place of the contract documents with the St. Charles Parish Clerk of Court and in the records of the St. Charles Parish Council.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ____________, 2022 to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
