Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No.1 for the Des Allemands Emergency Bulkhead, (Project No. P210601), to decrease the contract amount by $135,101.22 and decrease contract time by 36 days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 21-8-13 adopted August 23, 2021, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with All South Consulting Engineers, LLC, for providing all necessary professional engineering services for a new sheet pile bulkhead in Des Allemands, Project No. P210601; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 22-3-6 adopted March 7, 2022, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of Amendment No. 1 to Ordinance No. 21-8-13 with All South Consulting Engineers, LLC, for Des Allemands Bulkhead, Project No. P210601; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 22-1-8 adopted January 24, 2022, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with APC Construction, LLC, for the Des Allemands Emergency Bulkhead, Project No. P210601, with bid in the amount of $1,908,019.20; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the contract to delete the work item, Asphalt Pavement Restoration, resulting in a decrease to the contract amount by $60,690.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the contract to add the work item, Grub and Haul Off Material at South End Levee Lift, resulting in an increase to the contract amount by $1,770.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the contract to revise contract items to match final installed quantities and contract days to match substantial completion, resulting in a decrease to the contract amount by $76,181.22 and a decrease to the contract time by 36 calendar days.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No.1 for Des Allemands Emergency Bulkhead, (Project No. P210601), to decrease the contract amount by $135,101.22 and decrease the contract time by 36 days is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
SECTION III. That St. Charles Parish accepts all work and considers the project complete.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
