IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department has long held a prominent place in the State of Louisiana and the United States as an outstanding Parish and Recreation Program; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles 8 Year Old All-Stars have excelled in the 2007 All-Star Basketball Season; and,
WHEREAS, on February 11, 2007, the St. Charles 8 Year Old All-Stars finished in first place in the Kenner Invitational Tournament in Kenner, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2007, the St. Charles 8 Year Old All-Stars finished in third place in the District Tournament in Harahan; and,
WHEREAS, on February 25, 2007, the St. Charles 8 Year Old All-Stars finished in first place in the Region II State Championship game in Abbeville; and,
WHEREAS, on March 14, 2007, the St. Charles 8 Year Old All-Stars finished in first place in the "A" National Tournament in Thibodaux, Louisiana, defeating Wichita, Kansas; and,
WHEREAS, members of the Parish Council and the Parish President wish to recognize the outstanding performance of members of the 2007 St. Charles 8 Year Old All-Stars and their coaches.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY RECOGNIZE
