IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Savannah Lynn Loupe is a resident of St. James Parish residing in Paulina, Louisiana with her parents Avery and Angela Loupe and her sister Emily; and,
WHEREAS, Savannah is a Senior at Lutcher High School located in Lutcher, Louisiana, where she is an honor roll student, member of the Varsity Cheerleading squad, Senior member of the Beta Club, most outstanding student for September, 2014, 2009 4-H Treasurer, volunteer middle school cheerleading coach, state and national competitive dancer, and Senior Soloist National Dance Champion; and,
WHEREAS, Savannah is a dance instructor at Dance Unlimited of the River Parishes located in Destrehan, a lifeguard for the Gramercy pool, and a volunteer swim instructor for Special Olympics; and,
WHEREAS, Savannah’s future plans include pursuing a degree in Pediatric Oncology where she will start her education at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, and continue her education at Louisiana State University Medical School; and,
WHEREAS, on August 9, 2015, Savannah was crowned the 9th Miss Queen at the annual Festival of Charities Pageant held at the American Legion Hall in St. Rose, and she also received the Fashion and Photogenic Awards; and,
WHEREAS, the Festival of Charities is a non-profit organization that started in October 2007, which benefits the Down Syndrome Association of Greater New Orleans and other charitable organizations; and,
WHEREAS, as Miss Queen, Savannah will represent the Festival of Charities as she will travel the State of Louisiana visiting local and parish events raising awareness of Down Syndrome as Every Butterfly is Unique.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
SAVANNAH LYNN LOUPE
FESTIVAL OF CHARITIES
