Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a professional service multi-phase project agreement with Evans-Graves Engineers, Inc., for providing all necessary professional engineering services for a project that improves conveyance capacity in a canal in the vicinity of Destrehan Pump Station (P.S.) No. 2. (Parish Project Number P190507).
Body
WHEREAS, on the south-side of Destrehan P.S. No. 2 there is a canal that discharges water to this pump station; and,
WHEREAS, this canal has reduced conveyance capacity due to a constriction; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed project is to remove this constriction and improve conveyance capacity to improve flooding conditions in the Ormond area; and,
WHEREAS, the attached agreement between Evans-Graves Engineers and the Parish describes the proposed engineering services and compensation for the proposed improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the following work phases will be authorized by individual task orders as required for the continuation of the capital improvement project.
Phase 1: Surveying Coordination
Phase 2: Geotechnical Coordination
Phase 3: Preliminary Engineering Design
Phase 4: Final Engineering Design
Phase 5: Permitting Services
Phase 6: Bidding Phase Services
Phase 7: Construction Phase Services
Phase 8: Resident Project Representative Services
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Professional Services Agreement between Evans-Graves Engineers, Inc. and St. Charles Parish for services as required and assigned via Task Order by the Department of Public Works is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Professional Services Agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2019, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
