Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of Change Order No. Five (5) for the Sewer Collection Skips - Phase IV Improvements to decrease the contract amount by $9,020.08.
Body
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Ordinance No. 98-1-6 adopted January 5, 1998, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Bartlett Construction, Inc. for the construction of the Sewer Collection Skips - Phase IV Improvements in the amount of $1,128,503.00; and
SECTION II. That Ordinance No. 98-4-5 adopted April 6, 1998, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. One (1) for the Sewer Collection Skips - Phase IV Improvements Contract to increase the contract time by 45 calendar days; and
SECTION III. That Ordinance No. 98-6-5 adopted June 1, 1998, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. Two (2) for the Sewer Collection Skips - Phase IV Improvements Contract to increase the contract amount by $10,000.00; and
SECTION IV. That Ordinance No. 99-3-8 adopted March 8, 1999, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. Three (3) for the Sewer Collection Skips - Phase IV Improvements Contract to decrease the contract amount by $28,415.04 and to increase the contract time by 41 calendar days; and
SECTION IV. That Ordinance No. 99-9-28 adopted September 20, 1999, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. Four (4) for the Sewer Collection Skips - Phase IV Improvements Contract to decrease the contract amount by $33,496.22 and to increase the contract time by 69 calendar days; and
SECTION V. That it is necessary to decrease the contract amount by $9,020.08.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve and authorize the execution of Change Order No. Five (5) to the contract for the Sewer Collection Skips - Phase IV Improvements, to decrease the contract amount by $9,020.08.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute this Change Order to the contract.
