Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Engineering Services Contract between Huseman & Associates, LLC, and St. Charles Parish for the design and construction management of an emergency standby generator at the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter in Luling.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish intends to install an emergency standby generator at the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter located at 921 Rue La Cannes in Luling; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish to engage a qualified firm to provide professional engineering services for the design and construction management of said project for successful completion; and,
WHEREAS, the construction cost of said project is being funded with a FEMA Hazard Mitigation grant, FEMA-1603-DR-LA-0079, in the amount of $344,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish and Huseman & Associates, LLC, to enter into an Engineering Services Contract for said services.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract between Huseman & Associates, LLC, and St. Charles Parish for the design and construction management of an emergency standby generator at the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter in Luling is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Engineering Services Contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish and to act on behalf of St. Charles Parish in all matters pertaining to this project.
