IN   RECOGNITION

 

WHEREAS,                     Within a months time and without reprieve, Our Parish was affected by Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita; and,

WHEREAS,                     Parish Government, Agencies, Industry, Emergency Personnel, and the citizens of St. Charles Parish joined forces to aid in the preparation, weathering of, and aftermath of these two catastrophic acts of nature; and,

WHEREAS,                     Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who not only were affected by but received complete devastation from Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita; and,

WHEREAS,                     We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the countless hours of hard work and dedication to all those responsible for protecting our lives and property.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to all those responsible for protecting the citizens of St. Charles Parish
