Title
An ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 13, Article VII Charitable Bingo, Keno and Raffles, to increase the maximum hall rental fee for commercial lessor's from $500.00 to $700.00 per game period and from $650.00 to $850.00 per super bingo.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 90-12-11 on December 17, 1990 which established the maximum hall rental fee for commercial lessor's at $500.00 per game period, and $650.00 per game period for super bingo; and,
WHEREAS, due to the increase cost of operations, including insurance, utilities, property taxes, etc. it is appropriate to consider a rental fee increase; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said increase.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the St. Charles Parish Code, Chapter 13, Article VII, Section 13-629, IV Organizations, is hereby amended to read as follows:
(a) No organization shall pay rental in excess of seven hundred dollars ($700.00) per game period, including cleanup charges.
(b) No organization shall pay rental in excess of eight hundred fifty dollars ($850.00) per super bingo per six-hour game period.
SECTION II. That the rental fees established herein shall be effective July 1, 2005.
