Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 (Final) for the Phase 3 Water Main Replacement in Bonnet Carre Spillway (Project No. WWKS 105), to decrease the contract amount by $35,294.00.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 22-10-1 adopted on October 3, 2022, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Professional Engineering Consultants Corporation to perform engineering services for Phase 3 Water Line Replacement in Bonnet Carre Spillway (Project No. WWKS 105), in the not to exceed amount of $86,780.00; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 25-3-8 adopted on March 10, 2025, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Contract with LA Contracting Enterprise, LLC, for the Phase 3 Water Main Replacement in Bonnet Carre Spillway (Project No. WWKS 105), in the amount of $371,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish and LA Contracting Enterprise, LLC, have mutually agreed to decrease the contract amount of $35,294.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 (Final) for the Phase 3 Water Main Replacement in Bonnet Carre Spillway (Project No. WWKS 105), to decrease the contract amount by $35,294.00 is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ____________, 2025, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
