Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Task Order under a previously approved Multiphase Contract for Engineering Services with Principal Engineering Inc. for necessary professional engineering services associated with Parish Project No. P090301 Fairfield and Oakland Pump Stations Upgrade.
Body
WHEREAS,      the St Charles Parish Council has previously approved Ordinance 09-4-17 which authorized the Drainage Study to be performed for the Oakland and Fairfield Areas.  This ordinance will request the approval to implement the Engineering Design for the recommendations from that study; and,
WHEREAS,      the St. Charles Parish Council desires to have the following described projects undertaken:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Engineering Services for Parish Project No. P090301 Fairfield and Oakland Pump Stations Upgrade project. The service will include but will not be limited to serving as Owner's professional engineering representative for the Project, providing professional engineering consultation and advice, and furnishing customary civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering services and construction engineering and inspection; and,
WHEREAS,      the opinion of probable project budget is as follows:
      Engineering Services(Basic and Inspection)                  $       350,480.00
      Construction                                                $    2,200,000.00
      Other Project Cost                                          $       220,000.00
            Advertising, Recordation, Land Acquisition,
            Right-of-Ways, Permits, Surveying, Soil Testing, etc.                 
                  
                  TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET                  $    2,770,480.00
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
      SECTION I.      That the Task Order for Engineering Services under the Multiphase Project Contract for Engineering Services between Principal Engineering Inc. and the Parish of St. Charles is hereby approved.
      SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Task Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
SECTION III.
A.      That the necessary funds for the Basic Engineering Services and Other Design Engineering related Project Costs of the total project budget in the amount $193,500.00 be allocated to the above described project and appropriated from the Roads and Drainage (112) Fund.
B.      That the necessary funds for the Construction Phase Engineering Services, Resident Inspection and Other Construction Engineering  related Project Costs of the total project budget in the amount $377,000.00 be allocated to the above described project and appropriated from the Roads and Drainage (112) Fund, contingent upon receiving future Parish or Grant funding for Construction.
C.      That $ 2,200,000.00 for Construction funding in the Project is contingent upon receiving future Parish or Grant funding.
