RESOLUTION NO.       5067            

Title

A resolution authorizing the Chairman or the Secretary to offer a Strong Objection to St. Charles Land Syndicate (SCLS), COE #EB-20-020-3367, DEQ #02090503, CUP #P20021036 for a permit for six canal plug closures:  1 reconstruction of an existing plug, 2 wier replacements and 2 new plugs; and 3 access channels in Lake Pontchartrain, located in Lake Pontchartrain, Fall Canal, Parish Line Canal, Pipeline Canal and I-10 Flotation Canal in St. Charles Parish and Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

Body

BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Charles Parish Council acting as the Governing Authority of the Parish:

      SECTION I.  That the Chairman or the Secretary be and is hereby authorized to offer a STRONG OBJECTION in connection with the application of St. Charles Land Syndicate (SCLS) for a permit for six canal plug closures:  1 reconstruction of an existing plug, 2 wier replacements and 2 new plugs; and 3 access channels in Lake Pontchartrain, located in Lake Pontchartrain, Fall Canal, Parish Line Canal, Pipeline Canal and I-10 Flotation Canal in St. Charles Parish and Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

      SECTION II.  That the offer of STRONG OBJECTION is issued per the attached Exhibit A.

SECTION III.  That a copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to all interested parties.
