IN   RECOGNITION

WHEREAS,      St. Charles Soccer is an organization run by volunteers, and is associated with the Louisiana Soccer Association (LSA); and,

WHEREAS,      the St. Charles Vipers U17 Boys Soccer Team has excelled in the 2012-2013 Season, both in Louisiana as well as Region III, with a season record of 16 wins, 7 losses, and 4 tied games; outscoring opponents 22-9 in post season games; and,

WHEREAS,      on May 19, 2013, the St. Charles Vipers finished as the No. 1 seeded team for the District Tournament held in Baton Rouge; and,

WHEREAS,      on May 26, 2013, the St. Charles Vipers finished 1^st in the State Tournament, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, held in Lafayette, Louisiana, defeating the Crossroads Pride 2-0; and,

WHEREAS,      on June 6-8, 2013, the St. Charles Vipers represented Parish, State, Club, and Team in the Region III Presidents Cup in Decatur, Alabama; defeating Arkansas, South Texas, and Mississippi.  They finished 3^rd out of 1500 teams in Region III; and,

WHEREAS,      members of the St. Charles Parish Council and the Parish President wish to recognize the outstanding performance of members of the St. Charles Vipers Boys Soccer Team and their coaches.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY RECOGNIZE THE
