Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 (Final) for the Automated Water Meter Reading Installation Program (Project No. WWKS 106), to decrease the contract amount by $124,520.00.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 22-3-1 adopted on March 7, 2022, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with All South Consulting Engineers, LLC, to perform engineering services for the Automated Meter Reading Installation Program (Project No. WWKS 106), not to exceed $414,093.00.; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 23-2-2 adopted on February 6, 2023, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Pedal Valves, Inc. for the Automated Water Meter Reading Installation Program (Project No. WWKS 106) in the amount of $687,155.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to delete, deduct, and revise work item quantities to match the final work completed; and,
WHEREAS, the revised work items results in a decrease in the Construction Contract amount of $124,520.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 (Final) for the Automated Water Meter Reading Installation Program (Project WWKS 106), to decrease to the contract amount of $124,520.00 is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
