Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract for Engineering Services with Professional Engineering and Environmental Consultants, Inc (PEEC) for necessary Consulting Engineering Services associated with Parish Project No. P090403 Dianne Pump Station Bar Screen Cleaners.
Body
WHEREAS, during storm events, debris accumulation on the bar screen of the Dianne Pump Station during storm events prevents the station from operating at optimal efficiency; and,
WHEREAS, the addition of bar screen cleaners and the replacement of the bar screen would restore the flow of stormwater into the pump station by removing the debris; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish desires to have the following described projects undertaken:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Engineering Services for Parish Project No. P090403 Dianne Pump Station Bar Screen Cleaners. The service will include but will not be limited to serving as Owner's professional engineering representative for the Project, providing professional engineering consultation and advice, and furnishing customary civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering services and construction engineering and inspection; and,
WHEREAS, the opinion of probable project budget is as follows:
Engineering Services $ 287,400
Construction $1,500,000
Other Project Cost $ 45,600
Advertising, Recordation, etc.
Land Acquisition, Right-of-Ways
Permits, Surveying
Soil Testing, Project Inspection
TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET $1,833,000
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the attached contract for Engineering Services between Professional Engineering and Environmental Consultants, Inc (PEEC) and the Parish of St. Charles is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached agreement on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
SECTION III.
A. That $50,000 of the total project budget be allocated to the above described project and appropriated from the Roads (112) Fund.
B. That $1,783,000 in Project funding is contingent upon receiving a FEMA Grant.
