IN   MEMORIAM

 

WHEREAS,                     on May 28, 2026, Almighty God, in His Infinite Wisdom, saw fit to call from amongst us one of His most worthy servants, Richard “Dickie” Duhe; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Mr. Duhe a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish, was born to Purney and Harry Duhe, Sr. He was devoted to his family, including his beloved wife, Linda Duhe; his children, Michael Duhe, Kitty Brignac, Danielle Loosemore, and his late son, Richard (Rickey) Duhe, Jr.; and was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Mr. Duhe worked as a machinist for 35 years with Shell Oil Company. He also served his community as a volunteer firefighter with Norco Volunteer Fire Department and Shell Oil Emergency Response Team. In addition, Mr. Duhe served St. Charles Parish as a Constable and Councilman for over 20 years; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Mr. Duhe was a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Norco. He faithfully served on multiple church and school committees and as an usher. He proudly served as an usher during Pope John Paul II’s Mass in New Orleans; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Mr. Duhe was known for his honesty and integrity. He was an avid history buff, especially World War II, and held a deep respect for military veterans; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     on behalf of all citizens of St. Charles Parish, the Parish Council, and the Parish President we proudly posthumously honor Richard “Dickie” Duhe for his exceptional service to our parish and his legacy as a devoted and loving family man.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, WE THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, duly assembled on this 12th day of October, 2026, do hereby express our sincere sympathy to the family of

 

RICHARD “DICKIE” DUHE

MARCH 30, 1943 - MAY 28, 2026

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a page in the Official Minute Book of the St. Charles Parish Council be set aside to record this Memoriam and when this Meeting is adjourned, it shall be done in memory of RICHARD “DICKIE” DUHE.
